HOST - Earliest Concepts

Earliest concepts saw the audience seated on moveable rostra. The cardboard set, it was felt, should undergo a transformation from a solid, rectilinear 'monolith' to an irregular membrane enveloping the audience on the re-arranged rostra.
Potential starting position with the cardboard 'monolith' in the centre between two rows of rostra for the audience.

Sketch indicating possible positions for the final arrangement of rostra and enveloping cardboard structure.

Computer simulation of possible end position. Special attention was given to guarantee similar viewing conditions from all seats.

View from top right seat of a rostra within a stylised end position.
