Sculptural Wall/Ceiling - Prototypes

		1st attempt consisting of 4 layers.

		In the humidity of the summer months it became obvious that even 4 laminated layers will bend with time (here at 40% final size).

		Different approaches at model scale.

		Whilst it looks complicated, once the software was written, the assembly process was actually quite fast. Unfortunately it didn't produce the desired rigidity and did little to avoid bending of the facets.

		A more recent prototype produced sufficient rigidity if held in a position similar to its final suspension in the restaurant. There were, however, still problems with the rigidity if turned over.

		... and hanging comfortably above ground. No noticeable deformations during the suspension period ...

		... or subsequent see-sawing.
