THE TREE - VRML MODELS

.

The screen capture on the left shows the VRML model that was used to built the gallery installation from coloured paper scraps. It can be downloaded as a
VRML model (49KB)

.

The image on the right shows the tree model and composite photographs within the gallery context. It is a screen capture of the model available as a
zipped VRML file (231KB)

Download the model as a zip file, save to disk, extract and start this model with the file: BereTreeInContext.wrl

.

The image on the right is a screen capture of the VRML model used for the assembly process. The tree consists of two layers, an outer layer and an inner, or connecting layer. Both layers are broken down into strips of triangles. Wherever the outer layer has a joint the connecting layer has a crease and vice versa. The red strip of triangles represents element No 'c053' of the connecting layer whereas the yellow one represents element 'a051y' of the outer layer. The red and blue triangles can be clicked on to select the connecting strips and outer strips in ascending (red) or descending order (blue).

The model with the assembly instructions can be downloaded as a

zipped VRML file (133KB)
